In February 2013, newly-unemployed election loser Allen West was supposed to begin hosting host a show with Michelle Fields, a young conservative. West boasted, “We’re going to have live shows. We’re going across the country.” This show was to be the result of West’s joining conservative media company PJ Media as programming director and host of NextGeneration.TV, an online show.
Well, that show was supposed to start broadcasting on Feb. 4th of 2013. But instead, just like West’s short-lived career in Congress, West was tossed out with the garbage by PJ Media after only a few months. Why? Well, he allegedly had a problem keeping his groping hands and his feelings about Jews to himself.
West reportedly had an altercation with a female staffer in which he allegedly called her a “Jewish American princess.” Two sources familiar with what happened told BuzzFeed that West had gotten into an argument with a female employee and called her a “Jewish American princess” while telling her to “shut up.”
As for the groping, multiple news sources and news accounts have revealed subsequent to his firing from Pajamas Media that Allen West grabbed the breast of his then co-host — 24-year-old, Michelle Fields — in front of an elevator. But the married West apparently continued propositioning women. According to sources at PJ Media and some who have since left, West also undressed himself in front of communications professional Sarah Culvahouse Mills. Mills actually drafted the press release that led to West’s departure. Mills, who is married and the daughter of McCain lawyer A.B. Culvahouse Jr, reportedly sought therapy for the incident with West.
West, who is also married, has a string of women that Gotnews.com’s editor-in-chief Charles C. Johnson has tracked down over the past two years. His marital infidelity is an open secret in conservative circles but a taboo subject among conservative activists who point to his military record and (less vocally) his race as an asset to the conservative movement.
There are other women who Gotnews.com has tracked down and interviewed over the last two years that paint a picture of West as a sexual predator. Here are a few examples: He propositioned a conservative columnist. He grabbed a former communications staffer in an elevator and tried to kiss her, an incident that brought her to tears and led her to leaving politics entirely. She moved out of Florida entirely and into another career.
Whether Allen West was fired from this conservative news media outlet for antisemitism or sexual harrassment in the workplace (OR BOTH REASONS) should be a serious red flag to us in Texas that his excessive amount of political and professional baggage is the last thing we need in 2019 and 2020.
